Different Locks!

I have Sisterlocks, Cassandra has Braidlocks with extentions and Lindsey has Braidlocks! We took Cassandra's locks and extentions out as she wanted to go back to the "straight" look.

Braidlocks for my daughters

I started my daughter's locks by braiding. My oldest daughter wanted extentions on her locks. I added hair to the ends of her braids. My oldest daughter wanted to wear her hair naturally, but wasn't comfortable with the length of her hair. She is at that age... We compromised by adding the hair. Eventually the extentions will be cut off as her natural hair grows! My youngest is very happy with her hair. I'm glad we don't use heat on our hair anymore to straigten it! Low maintanence for all of our hair! I retighten both of their hair by using the NappyLocks tool. Its great bonding time with them!

GOD is good all the time...All the time GOD is good!

What an experience life is! I saw angels! Divine love that is GOD.

So I haven't been on my blog in a few months! I was in a head on collision over the 4th of July weekend. Long story short, I was traveling westbound on the highway when a drunk driver was coming eastbound in my lane. I suffered four broken ribs, micro fractures on my spine, emergency surgery to repair my torn colon and a punctured small intestine.

My sisterlocks were a life saver as I was in the hospital for 8 days!

LOCK LOOPS

It's always cool when you know the inventor of a product. Carole Pearson is my loctician. She is a phenomenal woman. I am blessed everytime I have have an appointment with her. She is a wonderful soul and has wonderful energy! I am very proud and HONORED to have her as my loctician! What an incredible mentor and role model for locked hair.

I love her product Lock Loops! Made in the USA and by African American woman! Her product is easy to use and the results are fabulous! Check out her websites for more information: Lock Loops and www.coilsncurls.com.

The lovely and talented Carole Pearson...

Finally more pics to put up

With my parents 3/23/08 (front view)

Here are my latest pictures! My locs haven't locked yet as I'm only one month--almost two months (April 8th) into my journey! I'm loving my locs as I have gone back to styling my hair like I used to when I was straightening it. I loved my 'fro, however I now have more styling options and I get to continue to be natural!

14.5 hours later...

My hair was locked on 2/8/08. It took about 14.5 hours! My daughters and their friend counted them and I think we came close to 400 locks! The ends will take some time to lock. In the mean time I found a new style for my locks...nubian knots. I sectioned my hair and twisted and wrapped it around and went to sleep. The next day...wow, tons of curls. I'm very excited. Pics: day 1, top of my head and 16 days...not two weeks like I thought

Nubian knots

This is my nubian knots set. I twisted my hair into nubian knots and when I woke up in the morning my hair was very curly. Now all I do is run my fingers through them and I'm off. I'm loving my sister locks.

No locks...

Still no locks! Today was my audition (I felt I did a great job)! Its an acting part for a Mock Trial. I want the part. This will be the first time for an acting job and I would love for it to lead to other things! I don't watch TV much, but when I do, its nice to see black women representing natural hair!

So for now my locks are on hold...
